Laying hens for sale-- they just began their laying career a few days ago, and are very productive brown-egg layers (Rhode Island Reds and Black Sex-Links). They have been pasture-raised and organic-fed their whole lives. $20 each. Call me at 360. 961. 9028 or message me through this website.

I will have 2 Khaki Campbell ducklings (bred from Indian Runners - great sluggers and layers) available probably in June.  I got three, wanting one to join my two older girls, but not wanting to raise her alone or give one away without a sister to go with her.  They're 4 weeks old now and I'll be selling two of them ($15 each) once they're all big enough to be integrated into my flock.  I think they're all girls - supposed to be.  ;-}    If you're thinking of getting ducklings, let me just warn you that they are adorable ... and incredibly MESSY!  I have to swamp out their tub at least once a day.  Good thing they're so cute!  Anyone interested can contact me at seven15-one2five9.

Hello, does anybody have baby Indian Runner ducks?  I found some in town that I can get next Friday, but just thought I would ask around first to support local peeps.  AND, I'm sure it's a futile attempt to ask, but if anybody has any extra Chicken wire fencing...I'll be happy to take it off your hands, don't have much to trade, new in town and have not accumulated a lot of stuff, though I do have a 9 year old girl that grows fast and has lots extra clothes :) Thank you, kindly.

I just built the A-frame poultry house in Harvey Ussery's new book "The Small Scale Poultry Flock" and it turned out AWESOME! His plans, instruction, and photos are stellar. I am by no means a carpenter and he made it happen for me. Not only is this the best book I've read in a long time, his plans are extremely useful. Get the book if you don't have it, or you are really missing out.

Come and learn everything you need to know to successfully raise chickens in the city!
4H members will share their expertise in basic poultry care, raising chicks, housing chickens,preventing and treating problems, and ensuring good laying.
City of Bellingham rules and regulations will also be covered.
Pullets and coops will be available to order for delivery in early summer.

Admission is $5 for a family.

Yes! my partner and I are in fact looking for a chicken coop! 

On your question bellow my understanding with the nitrogen level in chicken manure is that it would depend on several factors how many chickens, size of area, and length of time. In addition the equation would be changed depending on how much hay you add. 

My best guess is that it would be ok since the manure will have broken down over time decreasing its potency.
