Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I have a large garden and grow as many things as I can! I absolutely love and embrace what I see with Transition Whatcom.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I currently reside in an urban like/in city area, known as Birchwood. I am growing as many edible(and non) beautiful things as I can. I want to promote a more sustainable lifestyle among friends and neighbors, even within the City limits.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I really want to learn more, and help promote gardening/growing within the City limits. I also have an extensive backround in Real Estate. I am a Realtor...I have worked in Seattle and also rural areas. This is not a sales pitch...just want to help if needed.

I re-read your earlier message and realized that my comment didn't make much sense.  Sorry 'bout that!  My head is way foggy from fighting some cold or flu that has been going around the classrooms I've been working in!  Have a fun bike ride! Jean

Hi Megan!

I believe I did meet you at the Skillshare!  I probably didn't introduce myself as the volunteer coord.  By the afternoon, it seemed that my coordinator efforts weren't really needed anymore, as the other team members were able to determine where the volunteer needs were.

Say, I see that you posted that you had plums a few weeks ago.  Do you still have some?  I know it is getting way late in the year now, but I sure do love dried plums!  Let me know if there are any ripe for the pickin'!

Hopefully see you around other TW events!
Jean

Hi Megan!  Welcome to our Transition network, and also the Small Scale Grain & Bean growers network.  You are invited to connect with the news & activities shared through our larger gardener/permaculture Earth Gardens network, on Transition at http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/group/organic      There are many wise folks on the network that share events & news, without requiring any committment to connect.  Hope you'll consider, plus look to request Shannon's Garden E-News, that compiles news to help reduce emails!
