Greetings Twog & Warren!  I'm looking for the updated list of Twog members on our ning site, but have not found it.  Would you consider updating the names of the current Twog members on the main link of 'Who We Are' : http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/page/the-twog

Also, I am glad there was a Transition presence at our 5th annual Community Seed Swap: http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/events/community-seed-swap-2013

When you've a chance, it would be helpful to receive a reply via email, from my earlier email sent to Twog, in regards to my invitation to TW to be one of the many community co-sponsors to our educational free community seed savers exchange event.  Although we did not receive a response in regards to our Jan 2013 event, Twog is welcome share their thoughts & interests towards either tabling, or being one of the community sponsors for our next seed savers exchange event.  We are "planting seeds into the hands of the people".

Again, it would be helpful to have the Twog's 'Who We Are" page updated, as I am often asked who are the current members of TW operating group, and I would like to refer to the web for the most current info of members.

Thank you for your committment towards our resilance & our transitions!  Heather K

Thanks Warren. I would not have known about this group if not for a member of the County Council who told me about it. I am in Point Roberts so am separated by distance from most of you. Are there other people in Point Roberts active on TW? I want to start a local currency in Point Roberts if I can stimulate enough interest. I gave a presentation last week before County Council about pending crash of the US Dollar, but only 2 out of 7 members grasped the seriousness of my message. I won't waste any more time trying to communicate with that group or with Sheriff Elfo who I attempted to query regarding this. In Point Roberts a group of us are staring a drop in center called House of the Heart which we hope will serve to foster a closer community connectedness so we can all do more to help each other as the economy continues to deteriorate. The Federal Reserve is monetizing debt to create $600 Billion out of thin air. No way they can do that without triggering hyperinflation, especially when price of oil is doubling at same time over coming year and when there is global food crisis. This is a perfect economic storm coming at us yet few are doing anything to prepare. Somehow we need to raise greater awareness. I wanted the County to alert people but most on the Council are in denial.

Hi! Welcome to the Organic Gardeners/Growers...Permaculturist group!
Many of us share our events & news through Shannon's Garden E-News.
Info on how to connect is at:
http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/group/organic/forum/topics/sharing-events-workshop-on

In regards to your question about finding a tool to rent & organizing tool shares, you could network with your lettered street neighbors, or network through fourthcornerexchange.com which is one of our local currency trade groups, or look into working together with Tom Anderson to create a Tool Library:
http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/group/toollibraries
I sent you a friend request, but to connect you'll need to sign on to the TW site, and then go to your personal page.
Hope this all helps and your garden is growing in diversity & fertility.

Hi Warren! I was one of the volunteers helping to co-create the Great Unleashing event! Glad to see you are willing to help with marketing volunteer tasks.
Currently, I'm hosting an internationally known editor, Larry Korn, of the classi c book on natural farming, "The One Straw Revolution" by Masanobu Fukuoda with a couple other volunteer grassroot farmer friends, on May 10th. Its under the events tab or http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/events/the-theory-and-practice-of. There is a potluck for lovers of food & farmers this Sunday, also under the events tab. You would be welcome to join us!
