Celebrate Earth Day with NSEA!
Join us at our work party on Landingstrip Creek
April 20th from 9:00am - 12:00pm
Help NSEA, the Whatcom Conservation District and Whatcom Land Trust as we work to plant hundreds of native trees and shrubs along the bank of this South Fork Nooksack River tributary located in Acme. We will be giving away FREE t-shirts to the first 200 volunteers and REI will be raffling off a tent to one lucky volunteer! Take a trip to the mountains and do your part for Earth Day and wild salmon! From Bellingham, head east on WA-542 E/Mt. Baker Highway for about 15 miles. Turn right onto Highway 9, just outside Deming, and follow for about 7 miles. Turn right on Turkington Rd. Parking is available at Acme Elementary School. Look for NSEA signs and shuttle. Gloves, tools and refreshments will be provided!
Please let the TWOG know if you are interested in helping schedule a showing of "Occupy Love " at the Pickford in April. It's world wide release is on April 11th and we are looking for someone from the Heart and Soul group to help plan and schedule the showing and invite some co-sponsors from other organizations. You can find out about the movie and get some info on how to host a screening here: http://occupylove.org/screenings/host/
Thanx,
Your TWOG

I will be teaching a class on transformation and consciousness in February, called GESTALT AS A WAY OF LIFE. It will be 5 Monday evenings at my home. I keep the class small so we can get to know one another as we learn some fun and exciting new ways of living more fully. If you are interested you can contact me at cyndy.sheldon@comcast.net or at 656 6207 and I'll send you a flyer and answer any questions you might have. Special discounts. The class is also listed in the Whatcom Folk School Winter Program.
Patricia-
If you can post these workshops under TW Events they will show up in our weekly email to all TW members. Let me know if you have any questions about how to post them...
~ Hi Lynette, any idea of the cost for the community room? ~ Jamie
“Learn to create an environment for people who want to meet others that are passionate about issues facing our world today; to awaken ourselves to unexamined assumptions; and to foster and strengthen a new emerging dream: a stable culture of living systems of which we are all a part." ( $15 fee through Whatcom Folks School - or request a scholarship or offer LifeDollars).
"Cindi will be sharing her method of facilitating a conversational salon structured as a modified Open Space. This is not to convince people of what is going on – but to inspire, re-frame, get to the root of where we are, and how we will face the changes – each of us…separately and together.
Note from Cindi: "It is one thing to prepare for our physical needs, it is another to prepare for the needs of our souls. This is an opportunity to learn one way to access the portal to the soul in your transitioning self, family, neighborhood, eco-village, or town. I hope you consider attending this event and bringing at least some of what you learn back to your 'tribe' - whomever that may be."
Share this event with a friend and please register with the WHATCOM FOLK SCHOOL Call Cindi at 360-319-7495
