Hi Laurie
First I want to thank you for the work you have already been doing in our community via Wellspring School! I have known many of your students over time and know that the world is a better place because of what you have created as a culture for which they have flourished.

I would also like to invite you to consider taking the Training for Transition workshop this weekend. There are scholarships available for 1/2 off and I am thinking that getting this information out into the county is critically important. There are some folks in Maple Falls and Kendall that are involved, too.

Is the community excited about what is happening with the Welcome Grocery? I enjoyed reading the article about it in the Foothills Gazette. I grew up in Maple Falls and still have family out that way so keep an eye on things.

And Wain is a good friend of mine - we worked at A1Builders together. If I have it right, I know your kids (somewhat).

Hi Laurie- Welcome to Transition! I am coordinating the Food Security Workgroup, and hear thet Wellspring wants to do some youth gardening projects. Why don't you join our group on this site and also check out all the fantastic food security efforts- the gleaners, the urban gardeners, the perennial project (10-10-10) and more. Hope to see you at a TW event soon!
