Two fleeces for felting (not for spinning since these came from a spinner who said they are not useable for that). Washed once. This is as close as you can get to natural wool - shaved right off the animal. I hope some fiber artist can use them! Contact me at 676-1859 to arrange pick up.
Live cow and calf. We have a pair of Herefords for sale. Our beef is isolated and healthy, but without any shots. We have too many cattle for our pasture. The cow is 5 or 6 yrs old and a good breeder. The calf is a 3 mth old heifer. $1,100. You will need your own trailer. Just south of Mt Vernon.

Walter has some good points! If you have never done this before the actual beef you take home is about 1/3 of the hanging weight. Also if you are not used to grass fed beef it is a bit more game tasting. Commercial beef is "sweetened" with corn just before slaughter which adds a marble of fat. Ours will be leaner and a stronger beef taste.
I have never had a problem with Andal's and I've dealt with them 5 times. BE SURE to communicate with them with what you want.
Certain cuts are not possible if the animal is small. Some cuts over lap so if you want sirloin steak you wont get sirloin roast and so on. The best way is to speak with Andal's about your hopes, but be a bit flexible. If you want more boneless cuts then they will charge you a gourmet fee. Standard rate will get you plenty of steaks, roast and ground beef.
I do not want you to be caught off guard with anything so feel free to ask.
You will most likely walk away with a product that is $3.80 to $4.00lb
Beef! We have grass feed beef NO hormones, NO antibiotics, all natural, technically organic, but I can't officially call it that. It is not fattened with corn or grain. The animal is not stressed, but killed on sight. Our steer is ready for market. We have a half to sell. You pay us $1.70 lb. for the hanging weight. Then you work out the details of the cuts with Andal's Meat. They charge $.58 lb hanging weight for standard cuts. There is a $65 kill fee that would be split between the two halves. You will probably end up with about 200lbs of meat (guesstimate). We are in Mt Vernon.

~ County or City ~
Mother-in-Law cottage, cabin, room(s) for rent - 600 sq ft +
I would like to live in the county but happy to be in a city/town in Whatcom county.
I am a gardener. I have berries, dahlias, perennials, garlic, onions, herbs.......to contribute. How can we make things more beautiful and fruitful?
I have great references and would like to live on land where I can possibly do some of the rent in trade for work.
I would like to pay $250-$475 rent, I am extremely reliable and trustworthy.
I have a small family of animals - one small dog - 21# - goes with me to work - VERY well behaved dog! not a barker, no yapping!!!
2 mild mannered/shy cats - 11 and 5 years. a flock of chickens with a very tame and mellow rooster named Mr Yang! I have my own coop that can also travel with us.
I enjoy caring for all animals. I enjoy people and I am looking for a good fit. I have shop tools, a rototiller and many other gardening and building skills and supplies.
Perhaps you know of a family in need of a helper, a Elder couple that would appreciate some support and has a mother-in-law cottage.
I need to move by the end of May.
~ Thank you, Jamie
