This is a coordinating group for those who are working with their neighborhood and community Transition Initiatives. We offer inspiration, ideas and tools to create vibrant Transition Initiatives.

The purpose of the Whatom 2020 Initiative is to reduce Whatcom County's carbon emissions 80% by 2020 and to thereby become a sustainable template for the Northwest region of the United States.

Our group is working on small inexpensive residential energy generation devices that can be built locally.
