I'm not involved yet, but I'm planning on going to the Great Unleashing!
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
My husband and I aspire to a lifestyle that is low-impact and healthy for us, our neighbors, and the earth. We want to become involved with a community with the same goals. We are currently living off the grid and gardening, and would love to learn how to continually improve to become more self- and community-reliant.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
the Lummi Reservation
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
I met some people involved in Transition, and I searched for the website.

I just gleaned a big box of apples, so soon I'll have apple spice cake, apple crisp and dried apples to share! I'm also soon going to make some carrot-rosemary soup, and lentil soup from this great recipe I got from the co-op. (I like to put sausage in this soup, but can have a vegetarian version available.)
BTW, I have a friend who is very interested in learning about goats. She would be willing to put in some labor in exchange for hands-on tutoring. Could she "shadow" you one day at the goat co-op? She is a TW member.
