Lia, see if you can add this "momentum building meeting" into the TW Events, under the tab - Events. This way more people will see it.

It was great to share everyone's passions, questions, enthusiasm and ideas at the Great Unleashing. Let's keep our momentum going! We are powerful when we work together. Our next Economic Evolution/Revolution work group meeting will be on Wednesday, April 21 at 7pm, at 1717 Iron Street. This is the part of Iron Street that runs downhill from Lakeway. 1717 is in the last block downhill, between Meador and Fraser. Topics will include how we can attract and include larger businesses in our alternative economy, and...? Bring your topics to the meeting too. Hope to see you there.

I had a request that the name of our work group be changed from Revolution to Evolution, so I have done that for the moment... any thoughts about which you like better?

I too just joined 4th corner. In Ferndale, we are creating an inventory of resources and skills possessed by members to place on 4th corner. We can create a new economy where our services and the things we own can be shared with the community so that everyone does not need to own everything. I see hardware stores more as places to have tools replaced when broken and service the equipment the community owns. Hardware stores can retool to exchange the things we own with the community, repair and service them and decrease the amount of things we own. I see communities only bringing in items that can be services and parts found and no more throw away items! We can all make a good living off of this because we will earn life dollars that we can use to get what we need and have services provided by members to prepare for transition. WIN-WIN!
Let's do this! James

After mulling joining the Fourth Corner Exchange for several years, I in an application this week. Special thanks go out to Francis and Lia Ayley for their vigilance and great gift in creating and growing the network to over 800 members. Do check it out!
Cheers to alternative currencies and practical solutions to the woeful inequities of our fractional reserve banking system!
