Brooke, the first thing you can do is join Fourth Corner Exchange, and take it from there. Also, get everyone you know to sign up to the Alternative Cooperative Economy here in Bellingham.
That goes for everyone else in this group. Get people on board with Fourth Corner Exchange and get them using Life Dollars. It's time to act people. Let's take back our economic power! I hope to see you and all your friends at the presentation on Sunday.

This is awesome. I would love to find a way to work and pull my own weight in society in a better way. I know our whole way of life is unsustainable and shit will hit the fan sooner or later, but I have NO idea what to do about it! So far, I've just stopped buying stuff (not a huge step considering my budget constraints). I live in an apartment and hate it. I pay someone half my salary to watch my kids and I hate it. And yet, I'm not really sure how to fix any of this. So I would love to hear how any of you have done it! At least I'm working for a small, local company that I really like.

Hello All. I totally need to move my working life into doing things that are better for the economy, people, myself, and our community. (I work at a convenience store and it is totally ludicrous)- selling beer, candy, soda, gasoline, ciggarettes, etc... I am getting involved with local organic food production stuff right now. Anyhow. Hello All!

The military and pentagon are actively wargaming total financial collapse and martial law. Obviously a LETS system would help buffer people from the ongoing total collapse of the US Dollar. I've been holding a dialogue about this with the Whatcom County Council, the Whatcom Sheriffs Office, and the Dept of Homeland Security. I've requested that the Whatcom Council send a letter to everyone in the county to alert them to the pending crash, and one thing I urged be put in the letter was a reference to 4th corner exchange. The county is $1,400,000 in debt, so I offered to raise the money needed to mail these letters, and I have the ability to do this. Only two out of the 7 members of the County Council hear me and are personally preparing with food storage, putting in a big garden this year, etc. I have a mtg with Sheriff Elfo coming up on April 13th. and I've met with Homeland Security, to see the questions I've been asking publicly go to my other discussions on here.

I am interested in organizing people in Point Roberts and the Lower Mainland around Vancouver BC so more people will get involved with 4th corner exchange. I am just forming a Chapter of Weston Price Foundation here and might be able to interest people in both simultaneously. Tried calling the other day but wasn't able to reach Francis to return his mssg.

Darn - I had forgotten to put an event on my calendar for tomorrow that I had committed to attending. Apologies! I hope I can make the next gathering. I would love to see notes from the first meetings as well if you have any. Thanks!!
