This free workshop will cover the basics of mycoremediation, the practice of employing mushrooms and mycelium as our allies in cleaning up polluted water or soil. Based on the work of Paul Stamets, who has demonstrated mushrooms' power to clean up many toxins, including E. Coli bacteria and spilled diesel fuel. Chris Wolf and Juliet Thompson will lead participants in real hands-on projects in this two-part workshop. PART ONE: Sat, Jan. 22 from 1 to 4pm. PART TWO: Sat, Mar. 26 from 1 to 4pm. Attending both parts is recommended but not required. Free of charge (donations may be made to cover materials). Location: Inspiration Farm, 619 E. Laurel Rd, Bellingham. Space is limited-- please RSVP to: chrisandbella@yahoo.com.
