Transition Whatcom

The TWOG is in the process of organizing a weekly Transition Tea meeting for all Transition Whatcom members or local folks interested in learning more about what Transition Whatcom is up to. Current plan is to start on Jan 19th at a location TBD.

Here is the current description:

The weekly Transition Tea is an opportunity to get together with other Transitioners to explore topics related to Transition, ask questions of the Operating Group, find ways to get more involved, learn how to navigate the ning site (!), and generally hang out with like minded people over a cup of tea or coffee, please come.

Let us know what you think about this idea! Let us know if you are interested in helping organize it and/or attend as a 'helper'.

Thanx, Your TWOG

Warren,

Please let us know when a location is determined.

Location for the first meeting is the Public Market at 1530 Cornwall St, Bellingham, WA. Let us know if you have any other locations (perhaps out in the county?) that would work too!

The CoOp at Cordata has been the most user friendly so far - because it has available Wi-Fi. The CoOp downtown is great also but no wi-fi. WECU is excellent but not available as often as we like and, again, no Wi-Fi.

We often find that having Wi-Fi would be most helpful.

We've discussed turning this into our quarterly community meeting after our final weekly at the end of this month.

Thanks to the TWOG, especially Joy and Margo for hosting the Transition Teas. I look forward to the start-up again in the fall.
