Member of the Transition Initiating Fairhaven Commetee.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I like the idea that on a local community level I can meet with other like minded people and learn to waste less and be more self sufficient. To perhaps encourage others to have a smaller carbon foot print. To promote change on a local level that will join with other such efforts to encourage a national and world wide movement.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I am interested in solar energy to produce electricity and to heat water. I am also interested in preparing my own food; growing and canning. I am an Electrical Engineer by education and have many talents, home remodeling and gardening for example.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Chuckanut Drive
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
I attended the Transition Whatcom Great Unleashing.

Welcome Will to our online network of locals working towards Transition!
If you need any help navigating this ning.com website I might be able to assist.
You might also be interested in the online Earth Gardens group on this website located at: http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/group/organic?xg_source=activity
You can find other groups under the Group tab, and to follow discussions, click the 'follow' button on any you are interested in.
You may already know about both Common Threads Farm now in the southside, and also CLSR (Center for Local Self Reliance). Let me know if you need links on either of these group local groups, who existed before this local transition work.
