In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I've been reading event announcements and learning peripherally about Transition Whatcom and am excited about what I understand the vision to be. I also put a lot of stock in the people I see involved here.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
My expertise are in renewable energy. I run Ecotech Energy Systems designing and installing solar electric systems here in the county. I am also a co-founder of Convivium Renewable Energy - we're working on a proposal to fund a study to determine what it would take for Whatcom County's electricity to be 100% renewable and local.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
York

Hi Dana,
I see that you live in the York neighborhood. I am gathering people who are interested in starting a Transition York Neighborhood, people who either want to be centrally involved in the planning or think it's a cool idea and want to check it out. I just started a "Group" on this website, you can click on "Groups" and then choose "Transition York" if you want to join (well it might take a day or two for the group to get approved). We have had a group called "Franklin Park Gardening Club" for a while, but I am wanting to expand into a full Transition Intiative. Anyway, let me know if you're interested! My phone is 961 9028 or message me here. There is a workshop on Oct 18 about starting a Transition in your neighborhood, and several of us from York will be there (See "Events" page). TTFN!
