The Whatcom SkillShare Faire – a fun festival about teaching and learning all kinds of useful, handy, and practical skills. Years ago, lots of people knew how to repair and sharpen tools, make a braided rug, raise chickens, make soap, build a fence, make simple toys, and much more.

The goal of SkillShare is to help revive those skills, showcase some new ones, and provide a place where all of us can come learn from people more experienced in these crafts and trades.

If you have a skill to share, you want to know how you can sign up to be a vendor, you would like to participate as a musician or entertainer, or you want to step up as a sponsor or volunteer use the below links:

Looking more like early August for SignUp Genius. However, I am interested in talking with folks willing to take on leadership roles in the following areas: Parking attendants, Vendor/Sharer Valets, Grounds Keeping (not security,) Assistant Volunteer Coordination & Information Booth. Let's talk if you think you might be interested.

Margo Terrill has agreed to take the volunteer coordinator's position and she is doing a great job already using the Sign-Up Genius program.
Folks interested in helping out at the fair can contact us at whatcomskillsharefaire@gmail.com
and let us know they're interested in volunteering or go to
and send a message to us from there to let us know they'd like to volunteer.
Nearly all of last year's volunteers (a few actually moved away) have agreed to come back which speaks of how much fun they had doing it.
You can help make this our keystone event each year!
