Ever since I was 8 building bough shelters in the backyard out of discarded christmas trees, I knew at some level that I was destined to provide sustenance in a post-transition, perhaps post-apocalyptic world. The path has been sinuous, but now I am getting close to alignment, working on a farm during the day and farming for fun when I get home. I hope to meet people to share skills and experiences to help craft a decent life while its still possible.

Hi Chris, Good to meet you at River Haven near Lynden where the salmon flow & beavers grow!
You are invited to network with many of us permaculturist & gardeners at the Earth Gardens group on our Transition Whatcom site - http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/group/organic (Sign on to TW,and then click "Join").
That would be a good place to post the Winter Gardening class, which will reach over 180 of local folks interested in growing their own food & supporting farmers.
I've sent you a TW friend request earlier. I also really like your father/daughter picture on site...Look forward to meeting the two of you together.
