Hi Paul! Glad you did! Let your spouse Jill know if she is interested in the Earth Gardens group also.
Quoted post from the group to welcome new members:
“Our best source for garden event/classes is through our friend & neighbor Shannon Maris's Garden-E-News email that she sends out with a compilation of all that we send her and that she finds on the web. If you are not receiving her emails, you can request to be put on her email list by leaving a comment on her transition-ning site page.”

Hi Paul! Welcome to Transition Whatcom's online network! Great to see you and Jill here. Transition Ferndale is lucky to have you and Jill being part of the efforts out there to build a more resilient community. Hope to see you at some of the events - you may need to tell me your name, however, as it has been awhile since Rick and I were out to talk with you about the greenhouse you wanted to build on the end of your house.
Welcome Paul! You will find many of us here also trying to grow our own food, and also doing our best to make any food we buy come from our closest earth friendly farmer! You might be interested in the online networking we do on the Earth Gardens group: http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/group/organic
Also, many of us share info & receive Shannon's Garden E-News. Sometime this fall there may be a harvest potluck to bring many of us together.
