Thanks for the invitation to Food Inc. Paul. My plans for Sat. right now are to attend the Anacortes Arts Festival. Always too much to do on Saturdays.

Hi Paul & Nancy! Thanks for your comments on seeds and having Time to share is often more valuable than resources to share. Great you are taking bus & bicycle to grain meeting tonight. At some point make an announcement and I'm sure someone can give you & bikes a lift back to the bus stop or to town. Lets swap emails when we meet, or you can message me your email and I'll eventually get it put on a couple gardener's news lists a few of us have.

Hi Paul & family! Welcome to Bellingham/Whatcom community & -Cascadia bioregion!
Thanks for your friend request and your interest in seeds!

Myself & at least 2 friends have email lists for gardeners networking & events, and for planning future seed-swaps & educational events. I can get you hooked up with lists when we meet, (or message me your email and I'll get caught up on my computer work some cold dark rainy day!) .
We all do our best as neighbors to try to also post info & events on this ning site.

Currently a few of us are in the visioning & brainstorming process for next seed-event, and seeking to find what other organizations or individuals might be planning or visioning something so we can support each other.
(Myself & others co-created this past Jan-Febs public seed-saving events).
Let me know more of your interests in seed saving & gardening and how you want to share and what you want to learn! (I'm always trying to do both :-) )

"anybody who thinks living in a yurt is the way to go must have their head on straight."

-thanks,
most people think I'm nuts for wanting to live in a yurt, but I would have to agree with you. If people could live lighter on the land, we wouldn't be in such a mess.

I haven't really checked it out much since I knew I wanted a yurt the moment I set foot inside one - but this site: http://yurtinfo.org seems to be non-affiliated and a source of good information including a forum and used yurt classifieds.
