We agree that people and households that are financially secure are more resilient, and our community will be more resilient if its members are more financially secure.

Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I helped grow a big garden at my residence and have been messing around with blanching and freezing some of the veggies. I was part of a reality TV show called The Greenest House. 2 families try to reduce their carbon footprint more than the other family and win prizes and gain knowledge. It is aired Saturdays on TV 12.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
My growing concern over climate change and resources that won't last at the rate they are being used up. Much can be accomplished by simply changing some habits that many have.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I have been a general contractor for many years and can build lots of stuff. My bigger interest is in retrofitting existing homes to be waaaaaay more energy efficient through some simple and inexpensive means and others that would be more expensive but worth it in the long run.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
North Laurel area
