I'm completely new to the community and am excited to give what I can and become involved in something I value.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am especially focused on establishing a solid, recognizable bridge to my inner core of peace and using this connection as a catalyst for outer change. My teenage attempts with peace activism and independence from fossil fuels did not include this key principal and ultimately didn't produce lasting change.
I'm interesting in the Transition movement because it recognizes the necessary ingredient to creating outer change begins with our inner selves.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I am young and my interests are wide. I am at a stage where I am trying to hone in on a few of my passions and try to grow with them; such as healing arts, yoga and an equal mix of creative expression with color and design.
But right now I am good at stuff like baking and cooking (it's always nice to have food at events, meets, etc.) and cleaning and making things tidy and beautiful.
I also enjoy talking to people and being apart of focused conversations and topics. Communication is an exciting thing to me.
I hope to bring more to this community!
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Ferndale
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
I first heard about it by word of mouth and then heard about it from Heather K at the Ground Floor one night and decided to join.
