How are you currently involved in the Transition?: gardening, home food processing/storing, basic permaculture

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?: We need to share resources and work together to avert a global train wreck.

Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?: Interest in gardening, edible landscapes, seed saving, some time for volunteer work.

Last year a small volunteer group created the winter Community Seed-Swap & we hosted speakers for International Seed-Savers Day at Village Books. The upcoming dates we are tenatively looking at our Jan 16 for combo art & seed speakers at Bloom cafe, and Jan 31st for seed-swap. (I'll be in town for the 16th but gone for 31st)

Many of us are garden-mentors or new gardeners and love working in each others gardens!
The second local seed-saving swap of the year is coming up this weekend!
There are some gardener groups on this ning site,...and someday I'm betting there will be a Fairhaven/HappyValley & beyond neighborhood group site!
