In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Joining the Franklin Park garden group brought me here, but the themes being explored by Transition I have been interested in for some time. I am interested in community food security, sharing knowledge and learning about growing and distributing food locally, self-reliance and mutual aid, DIY everything, permaculture.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I have been working in sustainable agriculture in BC and washington, I have worked with kids doing gardening and facilitating environmental workshops with them on an organic farm. I also love gardening and the creative energy of permaculture, and I like to think that I am at least somewhat skilled in these areas!
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
York

Hi Eric! Sorry to hear about the weed whacked peas. I bet if we made some kind of sign for "edible food in park' and let the parks operations know about it they'd be on board.
I borrowed your rake a few days ago with Chris Wolf's help. Your yard is beautiful. I left the rake and a head of lettuce by your front door. Take care.
thanks eric.
We must be pretty close to eachother, I'm at 1110 franklin.
I think we are alley neighbors. Will you be around monday?
I have the day off and will be getting some beds weeded and would love to do some planting as well.
