Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I am starting a farm in the Whatcom/ Skagit area with a few close friends that will eventually be a place where local community can come to learn about Transition tools such as Permaculture, Organics, Biodynamics, Real Food, Herbal Medicine, Agroforestry, Hunter-Gatherer Lifestyle, and Deep connections with Nature like we used to have before the industrialization of the planet.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I believe that the Earth, obviously, cannot sustain us in the way that we live currently. Though I still drive a petroleum-based automobile, I envision a world in the very near future where all activities are sustainable, in that, there exists a harmonious balance between species of all types, and humans leave behind the foolish and destructive notions of "control" and "Domination" for ones of harmony, mutual respect, reciprocity, and using our intellect for stewardship of nature on Earth.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I am very interested in anything plants, "sustainable agriculture", permaculture, Biodynamics... Anything outdoors that brings us back to our true self and allows us to deepen our enjoyment of and connection to this living planet. I have talents in many of these area, but I am always excited to learn more, for example, about natural building and community co-creation. Our "farm" group is interested in extending an offer to the community to join us in our on-farm efforts: we are looking for people who would like to commit their time and our resources to co-create with us on the farm. Contact me for more info.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Spokane, currently
Your Personal Website (if you have one)

Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
I heard about Transition Whatcom from and friend of a friend, one of the people who founded the Bellingham Permaculture Club.

Hello Transition Whatcom Folks!

I am excited to have found this group, and to get to know like-minded folks in the area. I am working with some friends on starting a "farm" in the area and will be relocating to the Bellingham area next Spring.

Blessings,

Bryan Krueger
