Hank- I have only seen deer in our neighborhood twice in the last few years. Have not seen them eating anything.

There are some ducks in the neighborhood (or there were, have not walked by recently). Try the alley behind Grove just above W North St. A couple of houses up there was a nice duck run...

thanks in advance, if you have any advice:

have you had deer predation with your food garden? we haven't seen any deer around Broadway; but we are planning where the garden will be & wondering about how much fence is needed...

do you know anyone in the neighborhood with ducks? we have seen chickens, but no ducks - looking for some very local advice, seeing ducks in our future...

new to the 'hood - sort of; Karen and I will be right near the point of Columbia, Cornwall & L/S, so we'll be challenged to sort out our affinity! but we'll make the rounds eventually...

Lets get this group restarted! Looking for more people to add to our Gardening Work parties. Anyone interested in helping out in return for help in your garden? Post here if you are interested and I can organize the next get together...

Some examples- bulk soil, plant cover, raised bed hardware? Have extra starts? Want to trade produce later on when you have too much lettuce and not enough cucumbers? Other ideas?

Anyone interested in this urban gardening workshop? Learn how to grow enough food to feed a family on just 1/4 acre. Taught by Chris Wolf and Krista Rome. This could be a nice kick-off to a more regular lettered streets meeting. Respond here if you might be interested.

Community Gardening-  BUGS Bellingham Urban Garden Syndicate have been pretty active in this neighborhood. They participate in the garden site on J and Irving. I did some gardening in that spot this year, it was fun!

Just started this group today (Sept 24). I know there are lots of TW members in the Lettered Streets so please join this group so we can more easily connect up!
