I was just curious to see if there are any new projects to get involved with. I'm new to the group!

Comment by Jaren Hoppe-Leonard on April 28, 2011 at 2:40pm Hello!
I've been working with the local non-profit Allied Arts to start an art supply thrift store. We are trying to model it after other stores such as:
and http://www.urbansource.bc.ca/
Right now we have a small space and permission to borrow bike trailers from Everybody Bikes so that we can pick up supplies.
If anyone would like to join the project there are numerous different things that need to be done: contacting donors, decorating the space, picking up supplies, writing a business plan and many others!
The profits from the store would benefit Allied Arts and the programs they provide our community with. The store would also provide our community with a great art and craft supply resource that removes trash from the waste stream!
Please let me know you are interested in being involved!
