We the People would like to discuss the Tran-Pacific Partnership with our US Representatives Larsen and Del Bene. We have a panel of experts on environmental, labor, consumer and indigenous rights related to leaked chapters of the TPP. Now is the time to have our voices heard, as we have 90 days before the Congressional vote.
We have a panel of experts moderated by radio host Joe Teehan to address constituents and our representatives on the other side of the “free trade” issue from the one presented by mainstream media. We in the fair trade activist community see the TPP as the greatest threat to our autonomy and localization of economies yet.
We have the following guests:
Stan Sorscher, President, Washington Fair Trade Coalition,
Selden Prentice, Attorney and volunteer for 350.Org, speaking on TPP and climate issues.
Junga Subedar, civil rights attorney and net neutrality expert
Linda Allen, singer/songwriter on freedom.
Gary Kantor, singer/songwriter on labor issues.
Chris Johnson, field agent, Laborers’ International Union local 292
Tara Villalba, Philippina fair trade activist,
Carolyn Kinsman, non-GMO Project, on TPP and food safety
Stephen Trinkaus, Terra Organic Grocery, on TPP and food sovereignty
Honored Guest listeners:
Congressman Rick Larsen, 2nd CD
Congresswoman Suzan Del Bene, 1st CD.
