Transition Whatcom

I have started my transition towards sustainability and am now self employed. I am in need to self employment work and would very much appreciate it if anyone can refer people to me or let me know if you know someone who perhaps could use my services.

I have a 3/4 ton truck with a large, extra high canopy fueled sustainably on waste vegetable oil and I am available to haul items. I can get by with charging less than others since I get my fuel for free.

I also am a registered engineer (in BC) and can offer an array of energy services with a focus on sustainability.

I perform waste vegetable oil conversions (I now install too) for diesel engines, I sell waste vegetable oil and biodiesel.

And of course I sell blueberry plants and black currants. I also will have large quantity of berries available later this summer.

Thanks everyone, I am now also going to be able to dig in and start working with all of you to transition to a more sustainable lifestyle.

I sell 3 year old blueberry plants for $5 each. I do not have u-pick, these berries are machine picked, I can sell bulk both blueberries and black currants tho.

Travis,

How much do you sell your blueberry bushes for? Also, do you have U-Pick berries later this summer? Thanks, Danah
Travis, I'd be interested in fresh black current berries so I can dry them, or frozen ones.

Also, we could use someone to work with my spouse to install insulation in our home for lifedollars or exchange of labor time (or we can discuss USD"S too).
Black currants should be ripe in 1-2 weeks so I will be in contact. Please contact me regarding the insulation work, I am willing and able. 360-305-5834 (i am in Canada until Sunday night)

HEATHER and EVERYONE, I have black currants RIGHT NOW, the picking season is very short, only 3 days. I will have them fresh for only 24-36 hrs and then frozen. Super yummy, not organic but NO SPRAYS. CALL ASAP to come get them, they are in 15 lb flats for $30 (can accept partial LDs). 360-305-5834 TRAVIS

How can I find your biodiesel?
I am setting up a biodiesel co-op at this time. I tried selling biodiesel for $3/gal but the time involved from collecting the oil, dewatering, filtering and then processing into biodiesel and the costs of methanol of KaOH, plus delivery costs did not make it worth my time. I would need to sell for at least $4 per gallon or can offer use of my equipment for a small fee to cover the costs or raw materials and equipment maintenance. e-mail me at travis@greenconversion.net

Perfect, I sold all that I picked up yesterday (400 lbs!) so e-mail me at travis@greenconversion.net to let me know how many you want. I will put you down for 1 flat right now. I will probably get more Friday.
