How are you currently involved in the Transition?
As Founding Director of DuVal Ethnographic Research Center I plan and implement and project manage research projects with transition and transformation facilitation goals.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am interested in the future of the earth and all living things on the earth, in living local principles, local self sufficiency, local food economies and in collective thinking and response to unexpected disasters. I scout for transition knowledge and groups to share with the world as a way of helping us link together to create sustainable futures.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
Strategic planning, social marketing, experience design, gardening
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
We live between on the US/Canadian border between Blaine and Lynden

Through Explorations Academy, Center for Local Self Sufficiency and Australian transition artist Paul Bishop.

GET THE WORD OUT! Is a web video profile package for local businesses & non-profits, farmers, artists and start-ups.  The promotion is sponsored by DuVal Ethnographic/Good Reason Pictures as part of our effort to help build a more vibrant and sustainable creative economy in Bellingham. 

People who are pushing creative fronts are often challenged to put what we are doing into words and contexts that promote economic development and personal well-being.

Singer songwriter Shawn Galloway was in Bellingham, Washington this past week to celebrate the launch of Joy Glfilen’s start-up company UnitingCreatives. He sang a concert of 15 songs in front of a small and

enthusiastic crowd of supporters at The Conway Muse, an old barn turned

eclectic performing and visual arts center/ meeting place in La Conner.

Local film company Anchor Light Productions filmed the show that will be
