I am a trained workshop leader and public speaker on the urgency of dismantling corporate constitutional "rights" as they are the primary barrier towards creating a truly sustainable society in the U.S. I regularly offer my expertise to Transition groups, most recently in Portland, OR.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am VERY impressed with the Transition movement. And I have noticed a strange gap in its vision - governance. I am convinced that corporate constitutional "rights" have to be addressed as soon as possible if we are to be capable of creating self-governing structures at the local level which are not overruled by corporate interests.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
See above. I led two workshops in Whatcom and Skagit earlier this year which resulted in a study group that is working actively with Transition Whatcom's Living Democracy group.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
I currently live in Humboldt County, CA, and plan to move to Portland, OR, this winter.
