Volunteering to teach vegetable growing to beginners. I am also interested in integrating native plants into our everyday environment. Eating locally or being able to grow one's own food is an important skill to learn and be able to pass on to the younger generations to come.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Prefer to plan to meet our upcoming challenge of a limited oil future by making gradual changes now rather than later. I feel it is important to be able to take care of our community by growing more food here and discussing ways to handle our future transportation needs.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
My interests are vegetable gardening, caring for dwarf fruit trees, native plants, and herbaceous plant propagation.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Columbia
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
Shannon Maris emails and miscellaneous other gardening related sites.
