How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I currently have my roots sunk in the deep hardwood forests of the Appalachian Hill Country in Ohio. One government representative put the following on a gran application...She is a RN who lives green. :-)

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
The Transition Initiatives model offers us a guide not only to greater self-sufficiency and interdependence but also to a bottom-up/top-down grassroots approach that represents a paradigm shift.
I am interested because I believe it offers the ticket to this fun adventure into unknown territory.
I came to Transition Whatcom after meeting some of your members on Transition US.
I have fond memories that hearken back (70s) to my hitchhiking and apple picking days out in your neck of the woods. I was also honored to meet Peter Cady when he was visiting Orcas Island and my memories of the Mt. Baker hot springs bring a grin to my chubby by face.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
Mostly I would like to bring friendship, commraderie and use this linkage in support of your efforts and to strengthen our cross-country connections.
My connections thus far with TW members has been related to the heart and soul, as well as transportation, aspects of Equine Therapy; Emergency Radio communication systems and governmental planning and response efforts.

I am thankful to have apparently amassed quite a few interests, skills, talents and resources in this arena over the past 35 yrs.

I will be happy to share whatever I have with you that may be of interest and/or of benefit to you.

I probably won't be checking in here a whole lot so feel free to connect with me via Transition US, Transition Ohio or write me at info@broadwellhill.org

I wish you all the best and thank you for your efforts!
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
I reside in the virtual neighborhood via the websites noted above; come visit sometime!

Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
I love the question "In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?" I also think it's a very good idea to include the option to provide a short answer about why someone wants to join this site.

At one of the primary site admins for Transition Ohio I am always looking for input, ways to improve the site, etc. I welcome any feedback you might care to share with us as well.

Yea Mamaka you are here!
Welcome to another watershed green-ning site, my new wise co-pilot friend! Sending you smiles. Next time a plane buzzes me in the garden I'll think of our pilot days!
And you know that I deeply know there is nothing sweeter than the forests, meadows, rivers of the Applachian Hill Country!
I grewup just upriver from you!
