Currently, I have completed the Master Gardener program and am engaged in a "Grow Your Own Groceries" project working with new gardeners. Also am President of the "Friends of Tennant Lake and Hovander Park" group. Am also working with a student in the Whatcom Literacy Program.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
For many years I studied the Edgar Cayce readings and became very interested in earth changes and the lifestyle after earth changes. I continue to be interested as we move through all the current changes. Actually, all my life I have been interested in how the ancient Native Americans lived, and in a way of life that is harmonious with Nature.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
Mostly the gardening. I am a retired Social Worker, but it is too expensive to maintain my license.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Ferndale
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
The first showing of "The Power of Community" DVD in Ferndale. I also have that DVE and continue to find it inspiring.
