Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
Friends with members of Oasis community, Moondance CSA, Woolley Mammoth community. Host a 17 acre permaculture site near Sedro Woolley. Support bartering, food coop, organic farming, green and natural building, renewable energy, etc. We are cocreating a intentional community, permaculture site, and educational center. Began full time in 1998.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
We are deeply concerned about the ecology and quality of life locally and globally especially with peak oil! We are wanting to network and share practical knowledge, skills, and products more effectively. We want meet like minded people and form community bonds in a productive setting.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
Very interested in long term solutions and proactive design for quality lifestyle locally and globally. Most of my experience is restoring neglected and abused farmland to diversity and productivity while also developing the homestead and human environment. Green building, energy, remodeling, food forest, plant nursery.

Heather Katahdin and others locally. Googled the website.

Hi Jeremy & Cindy! Welcome! So good to have you connected to the online networking happening in our bioregion!
What a special day we all shared out at Moondance Farm and being with the salmon spawning, & share nourishment & visions!
I hope you'll consider sharing some of your ideas & actions occasionally on a blog on this TW site! Remember to take a look weekly under the Events tab to see what new events have been posted.

There are other folks on this ning.com site that also live in the Skagit River watershed. Let me know if you need help in searching for them under the Members tab. I think some of the other Skagit folks have connected through a Transition Anacortes area network, though I think you may be closer to South Fork Norksack than western Anacortes.
. I'll send you an invite to the Earth Gardens group, and also a reminder to connect with Shannon to receive her local Garden E-News.
