- How are you currently involved in the Transition?
- By my interest and willingness to eventually play a role once I move into the next step of my life.
My current project is a storytelling event on activism in the Bellingham Community (see blog for deatils).
- In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
- I am interested in living WITH nature and treating the beautiful bounty of the earth and its living sytems with respect through a new cultural outlook, awareness, and lifestyle. I look to nature to feel the most live and to be inspired by the great universal connection and I want this gift to be around for a long, long, time for both people and other species and creatures.
- Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
- Public speaking, intellectual and philosophical curiousity, great stores of love to give and connect, youth, a way with writing, and creativity.

Hello everyone.
My name is Jenna Shankman and this past summer I went to New Mexico and India to explore my different talents and perspectives about the world through a program called SUSTAINABLE GLOBAL LEADERSHIP ALLIANCE, a program for youth aged 16-22 that focuses on leadership, current, issues and development of the whole person.
