Room in Happy Valley - garden space, work trade, and casual community

We are moving from our happy home in Happy Valley to the house next door, leaving some great friends and thinking… hey, now we all have two yards instead of one!  There are plans for chickens between the houses and possibly a goat in the new back yard.   There is plenty of garden space for all, and we also enjoy brewing, preserving, and other aspects of sustainable living.  All that’s missing is one more awesome person to fill the vacated room.

 

Our landlady would like to find someone handy who would like to do simple repairs for work trade.  We are looking for someone relaxed who wants to pitch in on gardening and other fun tasks.  We are definitely not a formal "community" but we like to hang out, play cribbage, and eat together sometimes.

It’ll be $400 a month plus utilities (your share ranging from $16 a month in the summer to around $75 in the coldest months).  Move-in is first, last, and a $250 deposit.

 

We're also right on the 14 bus line and a couple blocks from the interurban trail.  Must be dog (and other animal) friendly.
