A message to all members of Transition Whatcom

Lot's to say so I'll be brief...........

 

1.  We need more volunteers for The Great Unleashing (TGU).  Many cool opportunities are available, from greeting people at the door, to helping achieve ZERO WASTE, to helping exhibitors set up to...........  Please contact Sandy Hoelterhoff at [e-mail] (A TWIG and our volunteer coordinator).  Volunteering also gets you free entrance into TGU (if you so choose).

 

2.  We're seeking some still, digital photographers for TGU.  Would you like to shoot parts of TGU and help document this worthy event? If so, contact me (Rick Dubrow, [e-mail]).

 

3.  Please consider joining the parade leaving LaFiamma's parking lot at 8:45 am on Day 1.  Bikes, unicycles, walkers, jugglers............

 

4.  We'll have plenty of monitored, free bike parking (thanks to NorKa Recreation) at TGU with The Hub and Fairhaven Bike and Mountain Sports offering free bike tune-ups and repairs (as time permits!).  Please arrive by bike, foot or transit.  Power down why don't you?

 

5. Who is willing to TWITTER from TGU to bring real-time attention to the event?  Please do so.

 

6. Watch for the KVOS TV 12 segment about TGU on 4/3 @ 5pm, 4/5 @ 7:30am and 4/7 @ 7:30am.

 

7. Did you catch the Cascadia Weekly spread about TGU; go to page 8 at http://www.cascadiaweekly.com/pdfs/issues/201013.pdf 

 

8.  Please expect a few more EMAIL BLASTS like this one between now and TGU; we've got so much to say and so much to do before we all meet at Bellingham High School on APril 10th!

 

9.  Want to see the actual schedule for Day 1?  This will help you know which breakout sessions to attend.  The schedule for Day 2?  The list of over 30 exhibitors?  Keep on checking our website (www.transitionwhatcom.org) and our social networking site (http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/page/the-great-unleashing) for these documents as they get uploaded.............  any time now.

 

10.  Between now and the 10th stay tuned to TGU coverage in the Bellingham Herald, the Cascadia Radio Group, KUGS.......... as well as the roving chicken flock  and TGU banners.

 

11. Most important of all in this email......... we need more volunteers so reread item #1 above and please contact Sandy NOW!
