Transition Whatcom

Hi all,

I am a WWU student and relative newcomer to Bellingham. I have a 20' diameter yurt (made by Nomad Shelter of Homer, AK) which is getting shipped down from Alaska soon, and I am looking for a place where I could set up the yurt (to live in) and possibly use the kitchen/bathroom facilities of an adjacent house or building. The closer to the center of Bellingham, the better, as I commute by bike. Basically, I need a flat piece of ground at least 20' square where I can build a light deck for the yurt to sit on. This deck can be either permanent or removable depending on the situation, and the yurt itself can be packed up and moved by three people in less than a day. I am looking for a rent of $150 or less in addition to my share of the utilities, seeing as I am bringing my own dwelling structure, which is a significant investment in itself. I am also willing to do work trade or other barter arrangements.

I am a skilled artist (www.dantucker.wordpress.com) and can also do all kinds of manual labor. I am a male, 22 years old, single, nonsmoking, and with no pets.

Thanks

Dan Tucker
