Thank you David...yes, social media is a powerful tool that most of us have not even begun to harness to do good work. Thank you for the reminder about TW and Sustainable Bellingham - they are good. Whoever comes will learn so much about the power of technology to support the community in very deep, compassionate, heart-centered change.

Keep an eye on UnitingCreatives.com by Friday and Saturday, for we are rolling out an all new collaborative platform to help working groups, community groups, and people who are really striving to make a difference be able to do it more efficiently and more cost and resource effectively.

The cost of the conference is $187 OR BY DONATION - we are doing the honor system! If people can pay, we ask them to do so. However, if people can't, and they have the passion, they can come free. We ask them to write it up, publish, support, volunteer, participate in whatever way they can to help make our world a better place.

This is about community, and we want to serve the greater needs of all of us in our community. We know that many people are displaced right now, and we want no barriers to knowledge. On the other hand it is costing some of us solo-entrepreneurs a lot of money to volunteer our time, pool our resources and to put all this on, so we could use sponsors and contributors and donations. This is a massive enterprise, and if you know anyone who is in a place to support an all new style of community business ideas have them call me at 739-7493. We could use their help.

We are blazing new trails in commerce by saying if you can pay, please do because a bunch of us are picking up all the tab for this; and it is truly a workshop for the people and by the people. Yet, we

Joy,
This looks very worthwhile! Is there a cost involved?

Using this Ning social media network for TW has proven to be very successful in allowing a lot of folks to connect and for TW to share it's vision and mission. It's not perfect, and doesn't meet everyone's needs all the time, but I feel we wouldn't be where we are today without this platform.

I've also had success on the Sustainable Bellingham site with using an online calendar combined with email announcements, using "push and pull" methodology to communicate with our membership.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend this event, due to a Kulshan work party in the morning, and a Heart & Soul Open Space in the afternoon on the 23rd.
