Event Description
America needs a million new farmers. "Ground Operations" explains why returning veterans could be the solution to this problem. Follow several veterans as they struggle to find a positive pathway forward and ultimately found organic farming and pasture-raised livestock to be an answer to a dream.
Co-Sponsored by Transition Whatcom Food Security Working Group our own local Growing Veterans organization. Stay for a discussion after the movie to learn more about this important effort.

The local farm where I work, Growing Veterans, is not portrayed in this film but the work we are doing for veterans and sustainable agriculture is exactly the same. I encourage you to come watch the film and join in the discussion afterward with local veteran/farmers from our farm.
