Event Description

Back by popular demand, we will share the timeless art of making masa from the dent corn we grew right here in Whatcom County and turning it into tasty, stone-ground homemade tortillas. We will also teach you how to render lard (from pastured, organic pigs) for a wholesome, local cooking fat. We'll sample it all with some home-grown beans as we chat about the details of how to grown your own flour corn and dry beans for an exceptionally hearty winter food supply. This is as "local" as you get, folks. Don't miss it!

Cost is $25 ($5 discout if you carpool)
