First Congregational Church's Green Team is showing the Oscar nominated documentary "Gasland," in the church Social Hall on Sunday, April 17 at 7:30 pm. This film explores the impacts on drinking water in regions where natural gas drilling companies employ the "hydro-fracking" extraction process, where a proprietary toxic chemical mix is pumped into the ground to release the gas. Admission is free, although the Green Team is suggesting a $5 donation to cover exhibition expenses. We will also have a petition available to sign and if technology allows, follow the showing with a recording of the teleconference with the film's director, Josh Fox.
