Event Description

Fruit Tree registry and mapping
Come help us Halloween Day (Oct. 31st) at 12:00 PM (notice the time change) as we begin the monumental task of setting up an urban edible tree registry. We plan to be going through the York, and Lettered Streets neighborhoods in an effort to notify people of an on-line database for mapping fruit trees, as well as survey tree-owners feelings on organized harvesting efforts. We will be meeting at Franklin Park (corner of Franklin and Whatcom St.) and traveling by foot and/or bike.
If you would like to meet some of your neighbors and help with this important effort, we would love to see you there.

For more information on this event contact Nick Spring at (360)-610-3700, or just reply to this. Thanks.

Hi Nick. Who is "we"?
This would make for a good Transition Whatcom event, but we weren't asked.

I know we need to set out some clear guidelines for people to follow if they want events they organized to be sponsored by TW or not. Transition sponsored events can be broadcast to the entire network and can be made to be "Featured" on this website.
