I enjoyed meeting you all at the potluck. There are many forms of Community land trust, there social structures, methods of investing & equity, conflict resolution, personal and group goals, levels of cooperation....... on and on .....
I see many opportunities to discuss what you all are looking to form thru these meetings The agenda sounded to me like topics for multipule meetings that could each be a full evening get together.
I'm still unclear about the overall goals, purpose and mission statements and look forward to discussions to clarify some folks seemed to being looking at our greater Whatcom County community and others more towards forming a Farm scale community of cooperating families Kulshun Community Land Trust Has a urban Program of "Scattered Site" or single family homes that serve Whatcom County and are working on a farm project to aquire land for small scale farming. It might be fun to have some speakers come in and speak to these programs, Several local Cooperative living groups where mentioned and the Idea of a tour or two was discussed. I'd enjoy doing the tour idea. thanks again

I won't be able to make it this Thursday...I'd much rather be with you than sitting in the dentists chair getting surgery, however the appt was made a while back & it needs to get done. Please send good thoughts my way...the older I get, the less I like sitting in the dentists chair.
I'm looking forward to the next meeting.

An agenda is always a good idea, but being that this is a social event I think we need to keep it simple. I think it would be good to discuss how to choose representative(s). I would assume we would start off by seeing who is interested in being a representative.
