Hi Jill, I attended your 10-10 Us Launch gathering at the Blue Horse Gallery.
You might be interested in connecting with a TW group that Rob started here weeks ago as part of the 10-10 and 350 movement, Here is a link, or just look under the 'Groups' tab:
"350.org Workgroup aka 10-10-10" - a TW group: http://transitionwhatcom.ning.com/group/101010
Also, I've heard that the Perennial Project that Chris W and Tristan help initiate will be again receiving plants and gathering volunteers to plant again in our children's school gardens. You might want to connect in with them.
Welcome Jill! How great to read of your work leading workshops on reducing carbon footprint! TW just hosted a movie, called 'The Age of Stupid' , that will reshow in April...I wonder if you saw it.
My friend Mary J has had training as a carbon master with the governments Ag Extention Service...I wonder if you know each other.
I have friends & garden-care work I do in the Columbia neighborhood.
There are members from the hood on this TW site. You can find them by going to the Members tab, and typing in Columbia, and then pressing the return button!
Also, there are many speciallty networking sub-groups online that can be found under the Groups tab....When you find something that interest you, just click "Join" and you'll be included on the groups emails.
I'll look forward to meeting & working together sometime in the future!
