Event Description

Rev. Michael Dowd will be providing the morning message at Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship, Sunday morning Worship Service.

October 20th

10:30am at Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship, 1207 Ellsworth St.

A Humble Relationship to Reality
Rev. Dowd speaks to the intersection of science, inspiration, and sustainability. He will explore healthy vs. unhealthy ways of relating to temporal and spacial reality and offer practical guidance for nurturing a mythic relationship to time and nature that doesn't require believing in anything.

“Sustainable means accountable to the future. Unsustainable means unaccountable to the future. Everything else is but a footnote or distraction.” ~ Rev. Michael Dowd

Rev. Michael Dowd is a bestselling eco-theologian and pro-science, pro-future 'evangelist' whose work has been featured in the New York Times, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Newsweek, Discover, and on television nationally. His book, Thank God for Evolution was endorsed by 6 Nobel Prize winning scientists, noted skeptics, and religious leaders across the spectrum. Michael is currently recording a host of "Post-Doom Conversations"

I have heard Michael (and his wife Connie) speak several times and I appreciate them so much!  I already have a commitment on the evening that he will be speaking in Bellingham.  Thanks for the invite! I am sure it will be a wonderful evening.
