Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
I have just received my Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC)! I am committed to transitioning all my life practices away from fossil fuels towards hyperlocal regenerative energies. I am an avid bike commuter and beginning to grow my own food :)
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am interested in this movement because of my strong driving passion to live in a world, society and community that is predicated on regeneration & resiliency with people and the land, rather than our extractivist and 'scarce' reality..
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
PDC, passion to bring visions to practice, (I'll brainstorm more later),,,
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
York Neighborhood, Bellingham
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
On a Zoom meeting this morning with Cindi Landreth! Also through Bruce Horowitz's PDC class.
Please note that you do not have to answer all of the above questions in order to join, and you can always come back later to edit your profile. If it's all too many questions for now, please provide a short answer below on why you'd like to join this site (or a summary of the above, if answered).
I am interested in this movement because of my strong driving passion to live in a world, society and community that is predicated on regeneration & resiliency with people and the land. I believe self-sufficiency is the future to nurture the people and land. I have a lot of hope with the Bellingham community that shares this same vision. I want to join this site to gain more social connectedness and resiliency in this area!
