I love the sense of community that this program is bringing to Bellingham and hope to learn from it so I can take my skills with me where ever I decide to live in the future

You are in the Applied Human Ecology class where Tom and I presented, right? Great to see you joined this site! There are lots of knowledgeable people here about sustainable farming and engineering, like Brian Kirkvliet (Inspiration Farm) and Walter Haugen (Full Attention Farm), and lots of events where you can learn these skills. Check out the "Events" tab, and also the "Groups" tab, and see what interests you! Looking forward to seeing you again, --Chris
Tyler- So glad to see you have joined up! I hope that as you participate in the process of the Transition here, you'll be able to help guide such a movement in the place where you finally land. Stay tuned for the line up of speakers at the Great Unleashing in April...we have some good farming and 'engineering'/reskilling workshops. Should be very interesting.
