Profile Information

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I am interested in networking with like minded people who have skills to thrive in an uncertain financial environment. I have much to learn and much to share.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
With an ongoing mission of over 20 years to inspire and guide people to better health using medicinal plants, Cedar Mountain Herb School provides hands on integrated botanical programs focusing on medicinal plants in wild environments, their applications for healing and nourishment. Students with a wide range of experiential levels attend CMHS from naturopaths, MDs, acupuncturists, and nurses who treat patients in a clinical setting to those who wish to keep their families healthy with nourishing herbs and remedies and desire to gain valuable, practical herbal knowledge.
Motivated students participate in the herbal apprenticeship programs, one day workshops and herbal intensives. The apprenticeship program includes Materia Medica, hands-on wildcrafting in diverse bio-regions, processing the harvest for medicine making and preservation, finding herbal formulas in the wild. Students will learn herbal support for body systems, appropriate usage of botanical classifications and applications for chronic and acute scenarios. They assist with natural chicken husbandry and in the herb gardens. Students will gain first hand experience, confidence and skills in a culture of practical herbal education.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?

I have wild medicinal plant wildcrafting and foraging skills that I would love to share with the group.

Hi Suzanne!  Welcome to our Transition network!

Will you be attending any regional gatherings this year?

Save the date Sept 22, for a local “whatcom SkillShare Faire' up in rural whatcom county.

Re your question on how to post events:

Somewhere under our TW EVENTS tab, is another box labeled “ADD”.  Look for that to add an event.  It does take  a few days for webteam to approve.   You might also try this link that I cut & pasted from our site:
