I'm currently learning as much as possible about how to live subsistently on my urban lot. We've only lived here a few months but are really working on solidifying ourselves in our neighborhood (Birchwood) and home.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I want to become locally connected and involved in groups that are working on sustainability.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I'm very interested in natural building, but my skills and talents are extremely raw. I grew up in a consumerist household and have been working the last 20 years or so to reprogram myself as well as teach myself gardening, composting, building, etc.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
Birchwood in B'ham
Where did you hear about Transition Whatcom and how did you find our community network website?
I'm a massage therapist and a client and I had been discussing peak oil and its impacts when he suggested I check out this website. Glad I did!!

I would like to learn from my community about how to deal with peak oil and its impact on myself and my family.
