Profile Information

How are you currently involved in the Transition?
My involvement I would describe as community support and resiliency manifesting in various forms. I am participating in the Post-Isolation Potlucks every 3rd Sunday of the month. I am also a part of a women's circle that meets every Thursday at the Ground Floor. I am also transitioning my living space into one that is more physically sustainable through food production, waste management and more spiritually sustainable by cultivating a healing space.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
I find the Transition Movement particularly appealing because of its depth. It does not only concern itself with the physical elements of the transition of a society but also the mental/emotional aspects.
Do you have particular interests, skills, talents or resources you would like to bring to Transition Whatcom?
I am very interested in healing within a community, as individuals and as a collective. I believe that the changes in worldview we are working towards externally have a internal counterpart that is vital. I believe a shift in consciousness is necessary and already happening. It is important we support and hold space for one another as this shift occurs, moving away from rampant ego and perceived isolation and towards an openness and loving-kindness. This is a passion of mine and I am working on developing the skills to help facilitate this process in myself and others. I'm learning.
In what neighborhood or part of the county do you reside?
South Neighborhood
